Alternate Backwash Water Supply Tank

This project will build a new parallel water storage tank at the Water Treatment Plant to provide redundancy so the existing water storage tank can be taken out of sevice for maintenance and repairs and still maintain the capability to backwash the filters for the Water Treatment Plant.

COP Wyoming is constructing the tank and working to complete piping work.  Final pipe tie-ins will not be completed until the Surface Water Plant is shut down for the winter season.

Substantial completion of this project is scheduled for November 2017.

Airport Elevated Water Storage Tank

This project is to build a new elevated water storage tank just west of 6 Mile Road to raise pressures at the Casper-Natrona County International Airport and surrounding area.

Landmark Structures has begun construction with the demolition of the old tank.  Site work including the construction of the new tank foundation will continue to progress in the next few months.

Substantial completion for this project is scheduled for November 2018.

WTP Emergency Power Project

The Water Treatment Plant Emergency Power Project is underway.  This project will enable the Water Treatment Plant to have emergency power during power outages.

The emergency generator is on site and the contractor is pulling wires to connect to the emergency generator to the Water Treatment Plant electrical system.  Final tie-ins and start up of the generator will not be completed until the Surface Water Plant is off for the winter season.

This project is expected to be completed in October 2017.
